FSUE Rosmorport is going to have 9 icebreakers built by 2025, IAA PortNews correspondent cites Andrey Lavrishchev, General Director of the company, as saying at the meeting of Consumer Council on Rosmorport Activities.
Rosmorport explained that two icebreakers will have capacity of 18 MW each (one for the Baltic Sea and the other for the Far East), two auxiliary icebreakers will have capacity of 12-14 MW (for the Baltic Sea and Arkhangelsk, designing process is underway), on port icebreaker of 6-8 MW in capacity (for the North-West, designing process is underway), and four shallow-draft icebreakers (ordered to SC Zvezda).
According to Andrey Lavrishchev, the share of icebreaking services in total revenues of Rosmorport is almost 10%.
