Throughput of Murmansk Commercial Seaport (MMTP JSC) in 2018 is to make about 16.250 million tonnes, which exceeds the result of the previous year by 3.5%. According to MMTP press center, preliminary results have been announced by Aleksandr Masko, General Director of MMTP, at the dedicated press conference.
Transshipment of the Arctic cargo is to make about 350,000 tonnes.
“The year of 2018 was a period of stable, challenging but interesting work. This year, the company’s revenue exceed RUB 7 billion. Net profit is RUB 3 billion. Tax payments are over RUB 1 billion including RUB 950 million to the regional budget”, said Aleksandr Masko.
The General Director emphasized that MMTP pays special attention to environmental issues. In 2017, the company launched an ecological programme for over RUB 3 billion. It was based on the best practices of stevedoring companies operating in China, Japan, Australia and Canada and comprises 12 ambitious projects. Some of them have already been implemented with the entire programme to be completed by the end of 2020.
Murmansk Commercial Seaport (MMTP JSC) was founded in 1994. MMTP operates 17 berths with total length of about 3 km. The waters depths allow the port accommodate vessels with draft of up to 15.5 m and length of over 265 m.
