MITSUI E&S MACHINERY receives an order from YILPORT Holding to supply six STSs cranes and eighteen E-RTGs to YILPORT Puerto Bolívar

MITSUI E&S MACHINERY CO., LTD. has received a large order from YILPORT Holding Inc. to supply Six (6) Ship-To-Shore (STSs) Cranes and Eighteen (18) Electrified Rubber-Tyred Gantry Cranes (E-RTGs) to YILPORT Puerto Bolívar container terminals in Ecuador in South America, the company said in its release.

YILPORT Holding Inc. started their activities in 2004 to consolidate port and container terminal operations of Yildirim Group. MITSUI E&S MACHINERY CO., LTD. has already delivered Eleven (11) STS Cranes and Twenty-Four (24) RTG Cranes to their home terminals in Gebze and Gemlik, Turkey.

They also aim to create world-class port operations on a worldwide scale with Twenty (20) ports under Eight (8) countries and signed a contract - 50-year concession deal in Ecuador in 2016 and commit to invest in the expansion and modernization of the port in 5 phases. This container terminal under Phase 1 project will be designed to provide more to shippers and banana exporters and create an advantage for shipments from Southern Ecuador.

First Two (2) STS cranes will have 22-row outreach to handle 18,000 TEU vessels and next Four (4) STS Cranes will be our largest size with a reach up to 24 rows across to handle 22,000 TEU vessels. All Eighteen (18) E-RTGs will span seven containers and a truck lane and can stack up to six containers high. Sixteen (16) gantry wheels are equipped to have the crane more stable straight-running during gantry travel, and cable reel system are also fitted with the crane to reduce CO2 emissions drastically.
