In January 2019, sea transport hub of Taganrog handled 239,000 tonnes of cargo (+6%, year-on-year), the Azov Sea Ports Administration told IAA PortNews.
In the reporting period transshipment of oil products grew by 9% to 95,000 tonnes, coal – by 9% to 45,000 tonnes, ferrous metal- 21 times to 23,000 tonnes. Meanwhile transshipment of grain dropped by 19% to 69,000 tonnes.
Exports grew by 10% to 152,000 tonnes, imports and short-sea traffic remained flat, year-on-year, at 4,000 tonnes and 83,000 accordingly.
In January 2019, the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog registered 59 arrivals and 52 departures including port fleet vessels versus 54 arrivals and 45 departures in January 2018.
