In January 2019, the Port of St. Petersburg handled 4.48 million tonnes of cargo (+2%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products grew by 15% to 674,000 tonnes, dry bulk cargo – fell by 9% to 635,600 tonnes, general cargo – down 19% to 922,200 tonnes, transshipment of Ro-Ro cargo – down 7% to 81,300 tonnes.
The port’s container throughput increased by 12% to 178,121 TEUs.
In 2018, the port handled 59.32 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 2.7 mln TEUs.
