20 trainees completed first online training course of Marine Recruiting Agency
On 5 March 2019, Marine Recruiting Agency LLC (MRA, a company of UCL Holding) completed its first online training course for dock engineer, slingsman and tallyman specializations. The course was taken by 20 trainees, MRA says in a press release.
“The demand for these professions is on the rise since port work is a stable source of income. Many of our trainees have already obtained a profession but now people are striving to expand their competence to be competitive in the market, – explains Elena Voronova, Manager of Personnel Training Service. – When introducing new online training courses we address a problem of time needed for journeys. What is more, this saves trainees’ money.
In November 2018, Marine Recruiting Agency developed a new software package for distance training, then it was tested. It took two months to adjust and prepare the product for application. New courses were added to the package which now includes materials for training boatmen, labour safety, safety of working at height, industrial safety, first aid and firefighting. Now, the applicants can learn a selected profession from any point worldwide with an opportunity to integrate the training into vacation or into their primary work.
Online training course includes theoretical materials on related professions. Having learnt the material the trainees are free to select a place for training practice or ask MRA to offer one. Having completed the course the trainees are tested and provided with a certificate of competence.
MRA offers online training to both persons and entities. MRA partners are free to define convenient time to begin the course, its duration and reporting. This method lets MRA partners reduce their costs for personnel training.
