From the beginning of the navigation season of 2018-2019 (as of March 18), icebreakers of FSUE Rosmorport have assisted 5,936 ships in freezing ports of Russia, says FSUE Rosmorport.
The period of icebreaker assistance is over in the Azov Basin (3,357 ships).
Icebreaking assistance is underway in the Arctic Basin: in the White Sea Rosmorport escorted 279 ships, in the Kara Sea – 36 ships, in Sabetta port – 119 ships.
1,662 icebreaker escort operations have been performed in the Gulf of Finland (Baltic Sea).
In the Far East Basin icebreaker assistance has been provided to 214 ships.
Rosmorport’s fleet of diesel fueled icebreakers numbers 35 ships of different capacity.
