Volga-Don Shipping Canal starts its 68th navigation season

Volga-Don Shipping Canal has started its 68^th navigation season today, 1 April 2019, says press center of Rosmorrechflot (Federal Marine and River Transport Agency).

Tugboats of Volga Shipping Company and Morvenna-AST have passed through lock No 1.

The Konstantinovsky hydraulic system in the southern part of the Volga-Don Basin started the season with vessels of Prime Shipping passing through the lock.

To ensure successful navigation, Administration of Volga-Don Basin’s IWW had performed routine repair and reconstruction of facilities in the Volga-Don Basin, says the statement.
