In January-March 2019, port Kavkaz handled 5.125 million tonnes of cargo (-29%, year-on-year). According to statistics obtained by IAA PortNews regional correspondent from the port Authority, exports via the port’s offshore transshipment facility decreased by 9% to 1.905 million tonnes.
Exports from port Kavkaz surged by 64% to 324,000 tonnes while imports plunged by 80% to 17,000 tonnes, short-sea traffic – by 41% to 2.834 million tonnes.
Transshipment of coal grew 2.3 times to 1.096 tonnes, transshipment of grain fell by 13% to 2.177 million tonnes, oil products – by 27% to 1.215 million tonnes, inert aggregate and ore – by 64% to 165,000 tonnes, sulfur – by 14% to 136,000 tonnes.
Bunker sales at port Kavkaz climbed by 2% to 44,600 tonnes.
The number of calls to port Kavkaz fell 4.3 times to 1.320 calls.
