Since April 1, 2019, SITC International has joined the Hong Kong Shipowners Association, the company said in its release. SITC International will actively participate in the communication and cooperation of the local shipping industry, put forward suggestions on how to work and develop better for the association, and jointly promote the healthy and orderly development of the shipping industry.
The Hong Kong Shipowners Association was incorporated in 1957, with the purpose of protecting and promoting the fundamental interests of shipowners and management companies and the professional services industry they serve in Hong Kong. Over the past 60 years, the association has become one of the world’s largest Shipowners Associations, its members owning, managing and operating a fleet with a combined carrying capacity of over 178 million deadweight tons.
