On April 24, 2019, the President of the Russian Federation will give the nod to the launch via videoconference, of loading of an LNG cargo onto the tanker Coral Anthelia at the Vysotsk, Leningrad Region based new LNG train Kriogaz-Vysotsk, the Kremlin the press office said.
Vladimir Putin will also visit Severnaya Verf Shipyard to take part in an official keel laying ceremony, docking and launching of ships for the Russian Navy. The President will be informed about the plans of the oldest shipbuilding enterprise.
Vladimir Putin will also visit the St. Petersburg based Ministry of Defense Suvorov Military School, where he will be toled about the educational process, living conditions and leisure activities of Sovorov school students.
The President will chair the 11th meeting of the Board of Trustees the Russian Geographical Society at its headquarters. The participants will summarize the 2018 results and present the projects for the current year and will hand out awards and certificates of honor of the All-Russian public organization.
PortNews reported earlier that the project on construction of a terminal for production, storage and offloading of liquefied natural gas (LNG) at the Port of Vysotsk of the Leningrad Region is the largest one in the North-Western Region of Russia. The facility will be able to produce 660,000 tonnes of LNG per year will be among the three largest plants in Europe. Finland and Baltic states will be the key sales markets. Apart from LNG transshipment, the terminal will also enable bunkering of LNG-powered vessels. The project also includes construction of an offshoot pipeline from the main gas pipeline via Vyborg to the border (Leningrad-Vyborg-Gosgranitsa). The terminal is run by NOVATEK.
