In January-April 2019, sea transport hub of Taganrog handled 836,000 tonnes of cargo (-27%, year-on-year), the Azov Sea Ports Administration told IAA PortNews.
In the reporting period transshipment of oil products grew by 8% to 307,000 tonnes, ferrous metal – by 3% to 42,000 tonnes. Meanwhile, transshipment of grain plunged 2.1 times to 255,000 tonnes, coal – fell by 22% to 159,000 tonnes.
Imports grew by 20% to 41,000 tonnes while exports fell by 19% to 522,000 tonnes, short-sea traffic – by 42% to 272,000 tonnes.
In January-April 2019, the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog registered 219 arrivals and 207 departures including port fleet vessels versus 301 arrivals and 286 departures in January-April 2018.
