Throughput of port Kaliningrad in Jan-Apr’2019 fell by 16% Y-o-Y to 3.94 million tonnes
In January-April 2019, the port of Kaliningrad handled 3,947,900 tonnes of cargo, down 16%, year-on-year, says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo dropped by 25% to 584,400 tonnes including 339,300 tonnes of coal (-4%), 4,200 tonnes of mineral fertilizers (-19%) and 234,400 tonnes of other cargoes (-44%).
Transshipment of dry loose cargo declined by 11% - до 1,251,600 tonnes, general cargo – increased by 2% to 466,500.
The port also handled 298,700 tonnes of cargo carried by ferries (-34%) and 887,500 tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (-29%) including 370,800 tonnes of oil products (-55%), 204,400 tonnes of crude oil (+9%) and 295,000 tonnes of food cargo (+38%).
The port’s container throughput grew by 32%, year-on-year, to 98,663 TEUs.
