Throughput of port Taganrog in 5M'2019 fell by 21% to 1.34 million tonnes

In January-May 2019, sea transport hub of Taganrog handled 1.34 million tonnes of cargo (-21%, year-on-year), the Azov Sea Ports Administration told IAA PortNews.

In the reporting period transshipment of oil products grew by 7% to 364,000 tonnes, ferrous metal – by 11% to 45,000 tonnes. Meanwhile, transshipment of grain plunged by 41% to 345,000 tonnes, coal – fell by 27% to 195,000 tonnes.

Imports grew by 21% to 48,000 tonnes while exports fell by 11% to 673,000 tonnes, short-sea traffic – by 39% to 314,000 tonnes. 

In January-May 2019, the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog registered 274 arrivals and 258 departures including port fleet vessels versus 344 arrivals and 332 departures in January-May 2018.
