In January-June 2019, sea transport hub of Taganrog handled 1.157 million tonnes of cargo (-22%, year-on-year), the Azov Sea Ports Administration told IAA PortNews.
In the reporting period transshipment of oil products grew by 5% to 393,000 tonnes, ferrous metal – by 27% to 56,000 tonnes. Meanwhile, transshipment of grain plunged by 40% to 387,000 tonnes, coal – fell by 28% to 224,000 tonnes.
Imports grew by 11% to 55,000 tonnes while exports fell by 12% to 773,000 tonnes, short-sea traffic – by 40% to 224,000 tonnes.
In January-June 2019, the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog registered 312 arrivals and 299 departures including port fleet vessels versus 393 arrivals and 380 departures in January-June 2018.
