RF Government changes membership of State Commission for Arctic Development

RF Government has introduced changes to the membership of the State Commission for Arctic Development. According to the decree the Commission now includes Aleksandr Akimov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council’s Committee for the Federal Structure, Regional Policies, Local Self-Governance and Affairs of the North – Chairman of the Arctic and Antarctic Council of the Federation Council; Aleksandr Beglov, Acting Governor of Saint-Petersburg; Aleksandr Gutsan, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the  Northwestern Federal District (upon approval); Aleksandr Krutikov, Deputy Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic; Sergey Menyailo, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Siberian Federal District (upon approval); Pavel Sorokin, Deputy Minister of Energy; Andrey Chibis, Acting Governor of the Murmansk Region.

Aleksandr Kozlov, Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic  has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the Commission.

Marina Kovtun and Aleksey Teksler have left the Commission.
