In the first seven month of the year Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port (Vladmorrybport) handled 177 000 tonnes of fish products, which represents a 21% increase on January-July period 2018, the stevedoring company reports.
Total cargo volume handled at the dedicated port was up 6%. In July the Vladmorrybport JSC also rose by 16% as compared to July 2018.
Besides, handling of containers increased by 28% to 130,233 TEUs.
The number of ship calls at Vladmorrybport in January-July was 536, including 148 fish laden ships.
Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port JSC is one of the leading ports in Russia’s Far East able to handle up to 5 million tonnes of cargo per year including more than 200,000 TEUs. It is located on the southern coast of the nonfreezing Zolotoi Rog Bay. The waterfront with 10 berths of total length of more than 2 km, 10-km-long railway tracks coupled with three locomotives enable the company to handle daily 71 railcars.
