Cargo handling at the Port of Vyborg in January-July 2019 decreased by 29% on the same period a year before to 687,700 tonnes, the Baltic Sea Ports Authority statistics show.
Seven-month volume of dry bulk cargo dropped by 28% to 644,500 tonnes. The volume includes 336,400 tonnes of coal and coke (-42%), 279,700 tonnes of mineral fertilizers (-7%).
Handling of general cargo decreased by 13% to 37,000 tonnes. Timber cargo volume shrank by 71% to 3,200 tonnes. Handling of break bulk, unitized cargo fell 8% to 30,700 tonnes.
In 2018 Port of Vyborg throughput increased by 25% to 1.93 million tonnes.
