IAA PortNews will provide participants of the 3rd “LNG Fleet and LNG Bunkering in Russia” conference with background information in e-format: a copy of the International Code of Safety for Ship Using Gases or Other Low-flashpoint Fuels (IGF Code) as well as amendments and explanation of IGF Code provisions approved by IMO.
The purpose of the International Code of Safety for Ship Using Gases or Other Low-flashpoint Fuels is to provide an international standard for ships, other than vessels covered by the IGC Code, operating with gas or low-flashpoint liquids as fuel. The basic philosophy of the Code is to provide mandatory criteria for the arrangement and installation of machinery, equipment and systems for vessels operating with gas or low-flashpoint liquids as fuel to minimize the risk to the ship, its crew and the environment, having regard to the nature of the fuels involved.
The digital documents in English will be sent to the conference participants by e-mail upon confirmation of their registration.
The 3rd “LNG Fleet and LNG Bunkering in Russia” conference will be held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.
