Freight traffic at the Port of Singapore in January-October 2019 declined by 0.6%, year-on-year, to 520.7 million tonnes, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore provisional figures show.
Handling of oil cargo grew by 0.4% to 184.1 million tonnes, transshipment of dry bulk cargo increased by 0.2% to 14.5 million tonnes, general cargo – by 0.6% to 20.1 million tonnes.
Container traffic climbed by 0.8% to 30.7 million TEUs.
Singapore is the city-state located on an island in the South-East Asia. In 2018, the port handled 630.03 million tonnes of cargo.
