Baltic Fleet detachment of ships leaves Cyprus port and heads for Indian Ocean

A detachment of ships of the Baltic Fleet, consisting of the missile ship Yaroslav Mudryi, the sea tug boat Viktor Konetsky, and the tanker Yelnya, which performs long-range tasks, left the port of Limassol (Cyprus) and headed for the Indian Ocean, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.

During the visit, the Russian ship crew will replenish supplies of water and food. Some seamen will spend time on the shore. Also, a scheduled check of the training ship facilities and mechanisms was carried out. The call to Limassol is the first in a row since the beginning of the long voyage of a detachment of ships of the Baltic Fleet.

Detachments of warships of the Baltic Fleet will arrive at the port of Marmagao (India) on December 10 to participate in the naval part of Indra 2019 joint Russian-Indian exercise.

A detachment of ships of the Baltic Fleet, consisting of the missile ship Yaroslav Mudryi, the sea tug boat Viktor Konetsky, and the tanker Yelnya, which performs long-range tasks, left Baltiysk on October 1 and headed for the Indian Ocean.
