Teachers of Marine College upgraded their skills at Marine Recruiting Agency

Marine Recruiting Agency LLC (MRA) had arranged traineeship for teachers of D.N. Senyavin Marine Technical College under the programme of additional professional training. Employees of the educational institution visited the parent company of the agency, Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg JSC (SP SPb) to get an insight into organization of works at the port and specifics of port workers’ professional training.

The trainees were demonstrated new equipment and told about modern handling technologies by skilled specialists of SP SPb. The teachers got an in-depth knowledge about methods applied for training of port workers, assessed facilities for practical training and tested a simulator complex, one-of-a-kind in Saint-Petersburg, allowing for imitation of various transshipment operations. The facility is fitted with the system of independent performance assessment ensuring real-time control, improvement of skills and error analysis.

MRA has been in consistent partnership with institutions of secondary and higher education focused on port industry. Every year, the Agency organizes training for students of Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping, Makarov University College, Saint-Petersburg Sea Fishing College and Senyavin Marine Technical College. MRA had developed special courses taking into consideration their students’ basic knowledge needed for obtaining of new jobs.
