Throughput of Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port in 8M’2021 rose by 14%

Some 126,000 tonnes of fish has been exported from the port this year

In January-August 2021, Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port (Vladmorrybport OJSC) handled 3.251 million tonnes of cargo which is 14% more than in the same period of the previous year, says press center of the stevedore.

Some 126,000 tonnes of fish has been exported from the beginning of the year.

In the reported period, container throughput of Vladmorrybport rose by 12%, year-on-year, to 177,000 TEU.

Exports account for 25% of Vladmorrybport’s container terminal, imports – for 34%.

In August, Vladmorrybport demonstrated the highest result in terms of fish turnover among fish ports of Russia having handled 31,000 tonnes of fish (+5%, year-on-year).

In August, Vladmorrybport also reached its historic high of container handling – 26,000 TEU (up 7%, year-on-year).

Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port JSC is one of the leading ports in Russia’s Far East able to handle up to 5 million tonnes of cargo per year including more than 200,000 TEUs. It is located on the southern coast of the nonfreezing Zolotoi Rog Bay. The quay line of 10 berths which is 2,020 m long, 10 km of railway lines and 3 locomotives enable the company to handle 71 wagons per day.
