Throughput of port Shanghai (China) in 2021 rose by 5.7% YoY

The port’s container throughput rose by 8%

In January-December 2021, port Shanghai (China) handled 539.2 million tonnes of cargo, up 5.7%, year-on-year. According to the port authority, container throughput in January-December totaled 49 million TEUs, up 8%.

In 2020, the port of Shanghai handled 510.2 million tonnes.
