Vadim Vorobyev appointed as temporary individual executive body – President of PJSC LUKOIL
Vagit Alekperov resigned as President of PJSC LUKOIL
PJSC LUKOIL (hereinafter, the Company) informs that following the notification received by the Company from the President of PJSC LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov about his early resignation as President of PJSC LUKOIL, the Board of Directors of PJSC LUKOIL resolved to appoint First Executive Vice President of the Company Vadim Vorobyev as temporary individual executive body – President of PJSC LUKOIL until the Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting of PJSC LUKOIL resolves on appointing the new individual executive body. The Board also resolved to hold the Meeting on 30 May 2022 in the form of absentee voting.
As per the Board of Directors decision, the date of determining the list of persons entitled to participate in the Meeting is set for 5 May 2022.
Following the Board of Directors decisions, Vagit Alekperov resigned as Chairman of the Company's Management Board now chaired by Vadim Vorobyev.
The Company also informs that Vagit Alekperov is considered to have been retired from the Board of Directors of PJSC LUKOIL since 21 April 2022, the date when he notified the Company about his decision to resign as a member of the Board of Directors of PJSC LUKOIL.
LUKOIL is one of the largest publicly traded, vertically integrated oil and gas companies in the world accounting for more than 2% of the world's oil production and around 1% of the proved hydrocarbon reserves. Main activities of the Company are exploration and production of oil & gas, production of petroleum products and petrochemicals, and marketing of these outputs.
