Moscow Railway has finalized its results for September and 9 months of 2006. According to MRW PR Service, in September the railway loaded 8621984 tons of cargo (average daily loading - 287399 tons). It has made 100.7% against year-on-year result and 100.5% against planned result. MRW is still the forth Russian railway in terms of loading volume. September volume is mainly increased by growth of the first class cargo transportation (+183150 tons) as well as the third class cargo. Highest growth was demonstrated in loading of coal (122.5% against year-on-year result), iron ore (+18.5%), coke (+16.6%), ferrous metal (+10.9%).
Over 9 months of 2006 MRW loaded 73403810 tons in absolute value or 268878 tons in average daily value (102.1% against year-on-year result). Within the third quarter of 2006 the railway loaded 26262189 tons in absolute value, or 285459 tons in average daily value, that is 104.2% against year-on-year result. September cargo turnover amounted to 10 billion 233.5 million tons/km (+0.5% against year-on-year result). Cargo turnover within the third quarter of 2006 amounted to 32 billion 152.2 million tons/km, (+6.9% against year-on-year result). Cargo turnover within 9 months of 2006 amounted to 92 billion 14.9 million tons/km (+10.6% against year-on-year result and +2.9% against planned result).
