    Tanker of Port Fleet CJSC named after Anatoly Bilichenko

    Today the Anatoly Bilichenko tanker has been consecrated at the port of Saint Petersburg. The vessel joined he bunkering division of Port Fleet CJSC in June 2006. According to the company’s press service, the consecration ceremony was held by Father Vladimir, priest of the Epiphany Chirch. The ceremony was attended by relatives of Anatoly Bilichenko – former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saint Petersburg Seaport OJSC, representatives of Saint Petersburg Seaport’s Administration, Saint Petersburg Branch of Rosmorport FSUE, Association of sea trade ports, Saint Petersburg Seaport OJSC.

    The vessel was built in 1976 in Germany. Today it is registered at the Russian Marine Shipping Register. Its capacity is 2.4 thou tons of oil products, length - 68 meters, breadth – 11.5 meters. This double-hull and double-bottom tanker is devoted for transportation of vessel fuel within the water area of Saint Petersburg. It may simultaneously take both light and dark oil products.

    The Anatoly Bilichenko fueler is the seventh vessel of the company’s specialized fleet. Besides this vessel, the company operates the following port class tankers: Captain Danilov, Captain Shumakov, Captain Kovalenko, Poseidon, Luga, Ecomar. By late 2006 the company intends to add one more tanker to its fleet. Thus, aggregate capacity of Port Fleet’s vessels operating at the baring market of Saint Petersburg port (vessel fuel transportation market) to amount almost 20 thou tons. The Company’s monthly transportation volume is about 55 thou tons of light and dark oil products.

    According to Igor Novikov, Port Fleet’s Director General, consolidation of the company’s fleet is to finalize by November 1, 2006 – all vessels earlier let on lease to other business entities are to be passed to the management of Port Fleet CJSC.

    Anatoly Petrovich Bilichenko (1936-2006) is an honored representative of USSR marine fleet, honored worker of RF transport. Anatoly Petrovich was born on 06.09.1936 at Podvysokoye village (Ukraine). Having graduated from Leningrad Higher Military School called after М.V.Frunze, he for several years was in naval service. From 1961 till 2004 Bilichenko took different positions in the port: shift stevedore, head of large cargo district, chief production manager, the port’s deputy head on maintenance, Director General of Saint Petersburg Seaport, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saint Petersburg Seaport OJSC. Through all these years Bilichenko introduced over 50 innovations, took out the patents for 2 inventions. He was awarded with a title of “USSR Inventor”.

    For successful labor activities Bilichenko was awarded with the Red Banner order and Honor Sign and for success of Saint Petersburg Seaport under his leadership he was granted the Order of Merit for the Motherland of IV category. He was also given the title of Honored Citizen of Kirovsky district.

    Port Fleet CJSC was founded in 1997. Port Fleet company is the largest operator of Rosmorport’s icebreakers fleet in the port of Saint Petersburg. The company operates the fleet of 44 different vessels being able to perform any task on integrated servicing of vessels both within and outside water area of Saint Petersburg port.
