Container Corporation of India (Concor) reported 24.2% rise in net profits to Rs 1,692.4 million for the quarter ended March, 2007 as compared with Rs 1,362.2 million for the quarter ended March 2006. Sales for the quarter rose 18.74% to Rs 8,081.20 million compared with the corresponding quarter, a year ago.
Operating margins fell to 24.50% during the quarter, a fall of 83.77 basis points compared with the corresponding quarter, a year ago. Net margins, on the other hand, rose from 19.55% to 20.57% during the quarter.
The companys earnings per share on a trailing twelve month basis is Rs 106.25. At the closing price of Rs 2,014.55 on Friday at the BSE, the companys shares were valued at 18.96 times earnings on a trailing twelve month basis.
