The cargo turnover of Vladivostok Sea Trading Port OJSC totaled 1.1 million tons for the first quarter of 2006
The cargo turnover of Vladivostok Sea Trading Port OJSC (VSTP) totaled 1128.9 thousand tons for the first quarter of 2006. PortNews IAA was reported on it in the press-service of the port. For the accounting period the port processed 654.1 thousand tons of export. In the general structure of cargo turnover 40.7%s falls on transhipment of export metal products. There were processed 280.9 thousand tons of import cargoes, (49.9% in comparison with the similar period of the last year) and 193.9 thousand tons of coastal cargoes (-15.2%). VSTP processed 769 vessels and 14979 wagons for the period of three months.
Vladivostok Sea Trading Port is one of the largest seaports in the Far East of Russia. Three main international lines in the directions to South Korea, Vietnam and Japan pass through the port. Approximately 80% of all cargoes passing through the port make foreign cargoes, coastal transportations make 20%. VSTP specializes on processing of bulk, timber, and general cargoes, including containers. The port possesses16 berths, which are 4.2 thousand meters long, two of them are cargo-and-passenger. 100% shares of the port are currently on the M-port LLC managing company balance sheet.
