Dry-cargo ship “Shirvan” steers a course to Black Sea

The acceptance certificate for the third ship “Shirvan” project RSD17, built for Palmali Group, was signed at Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard (MNP Group). Under the contract five dry-cargo ships of the project will be built at the Yard for Palmali Group. The lead ship - "Mirzaga Khalilov" – was handed over to the customer in November, 2006; the second vessel - "Ismayl Shikhly" – was handed over to the customer in end of April, 2007. Dry-cargo ship project RSD17 DWT 6,270 mt of the restricted navigation area is designed for transportation of all types of general cargoes, including 20-ft and 40-ft international standard containers, metal, grain, lumber, coal, bulky and heavy cargoes. Maximum length of the ship is 121.7 m, width – 16.5 m, depth – 6.20 m, draught –5.06 m. The ship has three cargo holds of total capacity 9,370 cubic meters; capacity of ballast tanks is 3,120 cubic meters, TEU 234. Endurance of the ship is 20/25 days, speed – 11.5 knots, crew is 12/14 persons. The project of the dry-cargo ships is designed by Maritime Engineering Bureau (Odessa, Ukraine). Class is КМ*ЛУ2 I А1 of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, meets the requirements of international conventions.

The certificate was signed by Igor Baranov – the Shipbuilding Manager of Palmali and by Nikolay Zharkov - Director General of Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard. At present “Shirvan” steers a course to the Black Sea.
