Cargo turnover of Kazakhstan up 4.1% in January-September
Cargo turnover of Kazakhstan grew in January-September to 1 billion 451.5 million tons (+4.1% compared to the similar period of the previous year), Interfax-Kazakhstan reports according to RZhD-Partner. Over the reported period the republic’s railway transport carried 178.7 million tons pf cargo (+9.2%). Motor transportation amounted to 1 billion 127.4 million tons (+3.5%). Main lines transported 144.3 million tons of cargo (+3.2% against January-September of 2005). Of all products pumped by main lines oil and oil products amounted to 51.8 million tons (+7.5%), gas – 92.5 million tons (+0.9%). Air transportation of cargo decreased through the reported period by 25.8%, amounting to 11288.9 tons.
