Keel-laying of a dry-cargo ship RSD19 at Volgograd Shipyard for Irinvestship Limited
Keel-laying of a dry-cargo ship RSD19 for Irinvestship Limited (Iran) took place at Volgograd Shipyard – member of MNP group, MNP’s release reads. The contract for sea- and river-going vessels was signed in August 2005. According to the contract four dry-cargo ships of the same project are to be built within two years after signing the contract. The first vessel was launched this August. The project of Khazar-type vessels was developed by Marine Engineering Bureau (Odessa) for class КМ*ЛУ 2 1 IА1 of Russian Marine Shipping Register in compliance with all requirements of inter conventions. The vessel is intended for transportation of general and bulk cargo, timber and large-size cargo as well as international standard containers 8.5 and 9 feet high. Vessel’s maximum length – 139.95 meters, breadth – 16.70 meters, depth– 6 meters, draught (sea/river) – 4.6/3.6, ballast draught – 3.15, deadweight (sea/river) – 6750/4343, cargo capacity (sea/river) – 6325/4100. There 4 cargo holds at the vessel, their total capacity is – 10800 cubic meters, capacity of ballast tanks – 3900 cubic meters. Endurance – 4000 miles, loaded speed – 10.5 knots, crew – 13/16 persons.
