Throughput of Novorossiysk Commercial Seaport OJSC down 3.5% in Jan-May, 07, y-o-y

In January-May 2007, Novorossiysk Commercial Seaport OJSC decreased its throughput by 3.5%, year-on-year, to 30.277 million tonnes, Interfaz-Yug reports according to Yuga.Ru. Transshipment of oil cargo via Sheskharis terminal totaled 20.915 million tonnes including 18.897 million tonnes of crude oil, 2.018 million tonnes of oil products, 1.095 million tonnes of diesel fuel and 923 thou tonnes of heavy fuel oil. The company also handled 2.006 million tonnes of grain, 2.38 million tonnes of ferrous metal, 725 thou tonnes of sugar, 535 thou tonnes of chemical cargo, 350 thou tonnes of non-ferrous metal and other cargo.

Novorossiysk Commercial Seaport OJSC is the largest stevedoring company operating at the port of Novorossiysk. The Company’s cargo turnover totaled 74.9 million tonnes in 2006.
