Intekhport’s claim about berth No105 (port of Saint Petersburg) postponed till February

Adjudication of claim of Intekhport CJSC (port of Saint Petersburg) against Morskoi Rai LLC (port of Saint Petersburg) and Sea Port of Saint Petersburg Administration about leasehold of Berth No105 at the port of Saint Petersburg has been postponed till February 5, 2006, PortNews IAA learnt from Sergei Ostapenko, Director General of Morskoi Rai LLC. The decision was taken by Arbitrage Court of Saint Petersburg and Leningrad Region. The proceeding was postponed according to the claimant’s pleading.

Intekhport CJSC is a member of the Sea Port of Saint Petersburg Group of Companies. Intekhport has lost its leasehold of the berth from January 1, 2006. Administration of the Sea Port of Saint Petersburg entered into a lease agreement with Morskoi Rai LLC. The management of stevedoring companies of the Sea Port of Saint Petersburg considers the Administration’s acts to be a violation of the agreement with Intekhport signed in 2003.

Berth No 105 provides the possibility for the tankers to moor for transshipment of oil products. Intekhport CJSC is the owner of the shore infrastructure adjacent to and being part of the berth.
