In August 2007, State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported 236.238 thou tonnes of crude oil via the port of Novorossijk (Russia) for $69.65 per barrel, SOCAR’s press center reports according to IA REGNUM. InJanuary-August 2007, export totaled 816.984 thou tonnes.
In 2006, 1,172.483 thou tonnes of SOCAR’s oil and 3,277,063.6 tonnes of AIOC’s oil were exported via the portof Novorossijk. In 2007, AIOC (Azerbaijan International Operating Company) does not use this direction for oil transportation.
