Sri Lanka's Port of Colombo set an all-time record by handling 304,285 containers in July, reports the ColomboPage, a Sri Lankan news portal.
The previous record was handling 300,924 TEU in August 2006. Colombo harbour handled 1,930,027 TEU in the past seven months of this year, an increase of 14.28 per cent compared to the same period last year with 2,517 ships docking at Colombo during this period, up 2.8 per cent year on year.
