Fangcheng port in Guangxi added a new container service to Vietnam's Haiphong in late August this year, Xinhua reported.
The new service jointly operated by Yang Ming and Wan Hai has the port rotation of Fangcheng, Hong Kong, Shekou and Haiphong, the report said.
The regular weekly service is operated by 599-TEU vessels, which arrives Fangcheng port on Saturdays and departs on Sundays, the report added.
It is also plans to become a major Yangtze River delta's manufacturing base in the future, the report added.
