Qingdao Bonded Logistics Park first seven months volume up more than 500pc

From January to July, cargo handled by the Qingdao Bonded Logistics Park came to 835,200 tons, more than five times of the annual volume of last year, reports Xinhua.
Value of this cargo totalled to US$1.5 billion, more than double last year's aggregate.
The report said the sharp increase was a result of the connection between the Qingdao customs' computer system and the logistics park's, which has allowed online declaration and tariff payment and brings shippers and freight forwarders greater convenience.
