Crab contraband crime solved in Primorye territory
Activities of a criminal group engaged in crab contraband have been exposed in Russia’s Far Eastern Primorye territory, Itar-Tass reports. The crew of the Gumanny crab catching vessel owned by the Eastern Fishing Corporation were members of this group. An officer of the command staff of the Russian border guard department for the Primorye territory was an accomplice in the crime. He regularly informed the organised crime group members about the location and manoeuvres of patrol vessels thus easing the crab catches for the poachers and facilitating illegal transportation of crab to South Korea, the press service of the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office department for the Far Eastern federal district told Itar-Tass.
