The ports of Ukraine’s Azov territory increase throughput to over 9.5 mln tonnes in H1 07

In January-July 2007, throughput of Ukraine’s ports located at the shore of the Sea of Azov grew by over 1.2 million tonnes to over 9.5 million tonnes, Ukraine’s Transport and Communications Ministry reports according to RZD-Partner. Export of the port complexes of Berdyansk and Mariupol grew by 28.3%, year-on-year, to 7.38 million tonnes. Transit fell by 3.4%, year-on-year (277 thou tonnes) to 1.916 million tonnes.
