Export of oil products from Belarussian refineries to raise 15% in 2006
Export of oil products from Belarussian refineries to raise 15% in 2006 amounting to 15.4 million tons. According to the PortNews reporter, it was announced at the International Congress “Oil Terminal” held on Friday in Moscow by Stanislav Chaikovsky, head of Beneftekhim Baltic (sales structure of national Belarussian concern of oil chemical products “Beneftekhim”). Heavy fuel oil is to reach 5.55 million tons, diesel fuel – 5.23 million tons, petrol – 2.4 million tons.
Export of oil products is carried out by Naftan LLC (36% of total volume), Mozyr Refinery LLC (39%), Belarusneft (15%) and Belarussian oil trading house (10%).
Production of oil products is carried out at two refineries – Mozyr and Novopolotsk refineries. According to Chaikovsky, about 93% of oil products produced at Belarussian refineries is exported by water. 61% of all oil products exported from Belarus falls on Latvian ports.
Heavy fuel oil from Mozyr Refinery is exported to Holland (82% of all export volume) and Great Britain (15%). Diesel fuel goes to Poland (46%), Holland (20%) and Great Britain (11%). Аи-92 petrol is supplied mostly to remote foreign countries (72%) and Ukraine (7%). 80.6% od oil products is exported by water including 54% - via Latvian ports, 14% - via Lithuanian ports and 13% - via Estonia.
Novopolotsk Refinery exports diesel fuel via Latvian ports to Great Britain (45%) and Latvia (37%). 2% of diesel fuel produced by Novopolotsk Refinery stays in Latvia. Oil products are also exported via the ports of Estonia and Lithuania.
Refining output of Belarussian refineries is to reach 22 million tons by the end of the year. Half of raw materials are supplied to the refineries by Beneftekhim concern, while 50% are give-and-take raw materials.
