Throughput of port Primorsk up 12% to 74.2 million tonnes of oil in 2007

In 2007, port Primorsk increased transshipment of oil by 12%, year-on-year, to 74.226.9 million tonnes, the port’s Administration reports according to RBC. Seaport Primorsk was put into operation in 2001 as the final stage of the first phase of Baltic Pipeline System (BPS) aimed at oil transportation from Timano-Pechersk and West-Siberia oil-and-gas provinces as well as from Kazakhstan. In 2006, the port’s throughput totaled 66.8 million tonnes of oil.
