Throughput of Taganrog Commercial Seaport up 27% to 2.1 million tonnes in 2007

In 2007, throughput of Taganrog Commercial Seaport OJSC grew by 27%, year-on-year, to 2.1 million tonnes, the company’s press center reports according to RZD-Partner. In the reported period the company handled 693,400 tonnes of coal (up 2.5 times against the results of 2006) and 470,700 tonnes of oil cargo (+57%, year-on-year). The port’s container turnover amounted to 37,845. Transshipment of chemical cargo grew to 28,900 tonnes, construction materials – to 96,100.
