Train congestion in the port of Novorossiysk to be settled by February 2008

By the end of January, North-Caucasus Railway (SKZD) plans to settle the situation in Novorossiysk Commercial SeaPort, where the storm caused delay in unloading of wagons, Kirill Zhitenev, head of SKZD PR department announced at a briefing in Rostov-on-Don according to RIA Novosti. “Now the weather has improved and the port is fully operational again.”

As RIA Novosti learnt from Sergei Tayanovski, deputy head of SKZD PR department, there are 34 trains waiting for unloading at the approaches to the port today. The storm warning was announced on January 2 and cancelled on January 9.
