The Territory Association of Fishing Companies addressed their requests to simplify the procedure of passing the frontier control for vessels fishing in coastal waters to Victor ZUBKOV, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, RIA PrimaMedia informs.
"One of the most urgent problems for the Primorsky Territory fishermen is that the vessels fishing in coastal waters have to crss the Russian border many times," the fishermen stressed.
As it is noted in the letter when starting for fishing, as well as coming back, the vessels should first call at the sea port to pass the procedure of frontier control. Only after that they can go to the fish processing factories and unload their catch. It causes great financial damage to the fishing companies - due to the long route fresh fish can spoil, the vessels waste expensive fuel.
