Polish customs strike hits the country's eastern border, PRIME-TASS reports. More than 1,500 automobiles have accumulated on the Ukrainian side of the border. The line is 40 kilometers long. It takes at least 90 hours to cross the border.
The line on the Polish side of the Poland-Byelorussia border is 20 kilometers long consisting of 1200 truck trains. It takes at 60 hours to cross the border there.
The strike’s active phase has been lasting for a week already. First protests with a demand for salary increase were started in October 2007.
