Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone cargo volume exceeds 9 million tonnes in 2007
Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone's cargo volume soared 66 per cent year on year to 9.3 million tons in 2007, Logistics Week reported.
The value of this cargo for the first time exceeded US$10 billion, reaching US$10.7 billion, surging 79 per cent over the year before.
The report attributed the growth to efforts to streamline Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone customs clearance and to high-tech facilities that enhanced general efficiency.
