CSAV NORASIA starts NAS service from Asia to Mideast and North Africa
CSAV NORASIA has launched a new container shipping service from Asia to Algeria, Tunisia and Libya called the North Africa Service (NAS).
One containership, the 1,036-TEU CSAV, Atlas built in 2007 is being deployed on the twice-weekly service, which was to call at Port Said on January 28 to serve the ports of Algiers, Tunis, and Khoms on a 14-day rotation.
NAS is designed to provide fast connections for cargo from the Far East, southeast Asia, Indian sub-continent and the Middle East destined for North Europe.
Hong Kong-based CSAV NORASIA, a part of Chile's CSAV group, focuses on serving the east-west trade routes.
