Wenzhou Port's cargo throughput up to 42.4657 million tonnes in 2007

Wenzhou Port's cargo throughput totalled 42.4657 million tonnes in 2007, up by 8.22 percent year-on-year.
Wenzhou City invested US$124 million in port construction and will open ocean trunk routes in 2008 for the exported container cargoes from Southern, Central and Western Zhejiang Province to Southeast Asia, Europe, Middle East and Africa, thus putting an end to the history of Wenzhou Port having no ocean trunk routes and bringing the container throughput of the Port to 500,000TEUs.
