A train with empty cars occupying access to Vladivostok port delays transshipment at the port, Vladivostok Sea Commercial press-service reports. Uncoordinated work of the rolling stock owner, the operating companies with the Russian Railway have frozen the traffic on Vladivostok rail line, caused delays at the port, Michael Chizhmakov, the first deputy of the GM of VSCP is quoting as saying in his interview with the company press-service.
As of now, there are reportedly 1480 rail cars, 748 of them empty cars stuck at railway station near Vladivostok port. To return to normal functioning, the number on line should not exceed 900 cars. The station authorities will have to clear the line immediately since on over 3 thousand cars cargo laden are heading towards the port. The capacity of the port allow to handle cargo trains, the VSCP official said.
«We had similar situation back in August of this year when the railway line was just plugged with empty cars. That time the problem was solved after the Far East railway authorities stepped in. People there at the station again "walked twice into the same water ", Mr. Chizhmakov said.
To remind, the Russian Railway authorities have announced they cease loading trains heading towards since December, 10th, 2009.
